8 October: put the decision with the person
Goal: let AI colleagues keep working and clearly put decisions requiring a person in that person’s hands.
What we did
Bal became a dedicated Mac application. AI colleagues can present a choice, task or message as a card.
A card covers one thing in plain language. A more consequential decision requires personal device authentication. The later account confirms Mac use from 8 October; other devices followed later.
What the second look found
The later project account distinguishes what has been demonstrated within ITARR from a future version for other organisations. This source does not record a separate assessment on 8 October.
What a person approved
The person decides which decisions belong with them. This report does not demonstrate a separately signed release for the first working day.
The rule that stayed
A comment or question on a card is not approval. The decision must remain unambiguous.
Still open
We use the application ourselves. A version for other organisations remains a separate product to build and test.
